Enterprise instead of masses – Brand24 moves away from economies of scale and looks for profit in fewer customers

Brand24 zamknął 2024 rok ze spadkiem zysku, ale rekordowymi przychodami i wyraźnym zwrotem ku klientom enterprise. Firma przyspiesza inwestycje w rozwiązania oparte na AI, licząc na wyższą monetyzację i długoterminową poprawę rentowności.

After a dynamic 2023, Brand24 closes 2024 with a marked decline in net profit and operating profit, but growing revenues and a strong focus on growth in the enterprise segment and artificial intelligence-based solutions.

The company ended last year with PLN 0.76 million in net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company – more than four times less than a year earlier. Operating profit almost melted to zero, amounting to just PLN 27,000 compared to PLN 4.46 million a year ago. EBITDA, although also lower than in 2023, remained at a solid PLN 4.1 million.

However, the increase in revenue – by 27% y/y to PLN 35.3 million – indicates that the company is investing in the development and monetisation of new business lines. A particularly strong Q4 (EBITDA: PLN 2.4 million, +50% y/y) shows the potential of the segments developed in recent months.

A strategic shift towards the Enterprise

Brand24 is clearly signalling a change of direction – from the broad SMB market towards enterprise customers. New initiatives such as Insights24 – already generating nearly PLN 2 million in revenue – show that this segment can be an effective vehicle for further growth.

The company is also developing the Brand Monitoring application in partnership with Semrush, and the range of improvements – from language versions to marketing automation and the development of data sources – indicates consistent work to improve operational efficiency.

AI as a pillar of innovation

Artificial intelligence is becoming one of the key pillars of Brand24’s strategy. From the automation of customer service and appointment processing to powerful analytics for end users, AI is increasingly making its presence felt in the product.

The company’s most ambitious project is the AI Brand Assistant – a tool that not only answers questions about a brand, but also generates ready-made presentation materials. Brand24 is betting on a new paradigm of interaction with SaaS tools, seeing it as an opportunity to define industry standards.

Stock market movements and prospects

Following its debut on the WSE’s main market in 2021, the company is preparing to exit the stock market. This could mean more freedom to pursue long-term growth plans – away from the pressure of quarterly results.

Although profitability has declined, the momentum of revenue growth and the growing importance of premium and AI products give grounds for cautious optimism.
